TS EAMCET 2022 – According to news reports, the TS EAMCET syllabus 2022 has been reduced. For the entrance exam, only 70% of the first and second year intermediate (11th and 12th standard) syllabus will be covered. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has decided to do so as the required number of physical classes were not conducted due to COVID crisis for the academic year 2021 – 2022. Candidates will be relieved to know that further relaxations have been provided for TS EAMCET 2022 examination than last year. Last year, for TS EAMCET, onl ythe syllabus for second year intermediate was reduced to 70%. However, this year, both the first year and second year intermediate syllabus has been reduced to 70% each. The conducting body is also expected to reduce the required aggregate marks in intermediate examination to admit students into various courses through TS EAMCET 2022. Also, this year the usual requirement of weightage in the intermediate exam for allotting ranks may also be removed. The ranks may be allotted purely on the marks obtained by the candidates in the TS EAMCET 2022. However, the official announcement regarding this is yet to be made. It is also being speculated that JNTU Hyderabad will conduct TS EAMCET 2022 exam either in the last week of June or the first week of July. The official notification for the exam is expected to release in the month of March 2022. This is expected because of the COVID. However, if things remain favorable then the exam will be held in April-May. TSCHE has also released a new notice for Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). Even this, JNTU Hyderabad is the conducting body of the exam and the Convener is Prof. A. Govardhan Rector and Professor, Dept. JNTUH of CSE.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, conducts TS EAMCET on behalf of Telangana State of Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). It is a common entrance exam. TS EAMCET 2022 Streams

There are two streams in TS EAMCET exams. These are – Engineering (E) and Agriculture and Medical (AM). Exam for each stream is held separately. The courses covered under these streams are:

  • TS EAMCET 2022 Engineering Stream (E) – B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) / B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) / B.Tech. (FT) / B.Tech. (BioTechnology) / B.Pharm. (MPC) / Pharm-D (MPC).

Candidates have to select the stream while applying for the exam. In the TS EAMCET 2022 application form, candidates should enter that stream as per the course in which they wish to take admission.

During TS EAMCET, E stream candidate gets questions from PCM and AM steams gets it from PCB.

TS EAMCET 2022 Exam Date

Last year, TS EAMCET was held at end of July and the start of August. The exam was delayed due to COVID-19. The timeline of the exam has been disturbed for the past 2 years because of the pandemic. Earlier, it was held in the month of May. If things go well, then, the exam will be held in May 2022. Else, it will be delayed to June-July.

TS EAMCET 2022 Exam Pattern

The paper is set to test the candidate’s knowledge of the related subjects. It is a must for candidates to know the exam pattern of TS EAMCET 2022. It is as follows:

  • TS EAMCET is an computer-based test with multiple choice questions in both streams.
  • The question paper is provided in English, Telugu and Urdu.
  • Candidates are given 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete the entire paper.
  • The question paper is divided into sections.
  • In total, there are 160 questions and these are all of MCQ type.
  • 1 marks is allocated for each correct answer and there is no negative marking in the exam.

TS EAMCET 2022 Application Form

JNTU releases TS EAMCET application form at eamcet.tsche.ac.in. The form is only released online, for eligible candidates. Unlike other exams, to apply for TS EAMCET, candidates have to first pay the application fee.

How to apply for TS EAMCET 2022 – Once the fee is paid, candidates can log in by entering the payment reference id, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, and date of birth. After this, candidates can fill in personal, education, and other details in the application. Candidates also need to upload images in the prescribed format.

TS EAMCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The TSCHE has released some strict eligibility criteria, failing which, the candidates will not be able to appear for the examination. Candidates satisfying the following requirements will be able to apply for TS EAMCET 2022.

For Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech (Food Technology) courses:

  • Candidate should be of Indian Nationality and should belong to the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • They should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional or related vocational subjects or shuld have passed or appeared for the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by The State Board of Technical Education and Training.
  • They should have scored atleast 45% (unreserved category) or 40% (reserved category) in the intermediate examination (not applicable for B.pharmacy courses).
  • They should have acquired atleast 16 years of age (for Engineering and B.pharmacy courses) and 17 years of age (for other courses) as on 31st December in the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

For B.V.Sc & A.H, B.Sc, B.F.Sc and B.Tech (FT Courses):

  • Candidate should be of Indian Nationality and should belong to the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • They should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2) with any two or three of the subjects mentioned in the circular released by TSCHE.
  • They should have completed an age of 17 years as on 31st December in the year of application. The maximum age limit for this category is 22 years (unreserved category) and 25 years (reserved category).

For B.Pharm and B.Tech (Bio-Technology courses) in Agriculture and Medical stream:

  • Candidate should be of Indian Nationality and should belong to the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • They should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology optional.
  • They should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of examination.

TS EAMCET 2022 Admit Card/Hall Ticket

The candidates need to attain their hall tickets before appearing for the examination. A hall ticket is a form of document that mentions exam details, details of the candidate, day and date of the examination, and other necessary information. The candidates can download the TS EAMCET hall ticket from the official website eamcet.tsche.ac.in. The candidates need the following information to download their hall tickets from the portal.

  • Registration number
  • Qualifying exam hall ticket number
  • Date of birth

The candidates should preserve the hall ticket after the results are declared as it is required at the time of document verification.

TS EAMCET 2022 Exam Instructions

The candidate should read the given instructions carefully:

  • The candidates should double check all the details before submitting the application. The convenor can reject the online application if it is incomplete or if the candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility conditions.
  • Candidate should report at the test centre two hours prior to the exam with the hall tickets.
  • Candidate will not be allowed at the centre after the commencement of the test.

TS EAMCET 2022 Answer Key

After the entrance examination is conducted, the TSCHE releases the TS EAMCET answer key for all the courses on their official website. Below are some key points to remember while checking the answer key.

  • Two kinds of answer keys are released on the portal for each course.
  • Shortly after the exam, the TSCHE releases a provisional answer key for all the courses. The candidates can download the answer key in pdf format.
  • The objection window is opened for the candidates in case they have objecrtions on any answer that is mentioned in the provisional answer key.
  • The candidates get an opportunity to check the provisional answer key and submit the objections before the objection window closes.
  • The candidates can submit all the supporting documents for any objection raised in a pdf format on the objection window.
  • Soon after the objection window is closed, the TSCHE releases the final answer key on their official website. The candidates can download the final answer key in pdf format. No provisions can be made after the final answer key is released.

TS EAMCET 2022 Result

After the final answer key is released, the results for TS EAMCET are also declared on the official website. Candidates can download the results from eamcet.tsche.ac.in by entering their registration number, EAMCET hall ticket number, and date of birth. Some notable key points related to the result are given below:

  • The TS EAMCET result is calculated based on the marking scheme provided in the exam pattern section on the official website.
  • The result is calculated based on the answers given in the final answer key. Hence, it is important to submit the objections after the provisional answer key is released.
  • As the exam is conducted over several days and in different sessions, a normalization of marks is done so that the students have no complaints against the difficulty of question paper in different sessions.
  • Candidates will be ranked on the basis of merit. Merit list is prepared on the basis of the normalized marks (75%) and the marks obtained in the relative subject categories (25%)
  • The candidates can download the rank card from the official website. After this, the counselling process begins.

TS EAMCET 2022 Counselling Process

TSCHE releases a final phase, special round, and spot admission notification that covers all the details and dates related to the TS EAMCET 2022 counseling process. The candidates can check the official notification for both engineering and agricultural and medical categories to know the important dates. The counseling process is most likely to be carried forward in the month of November. The steps involved in the process are listed below:

  1. Online filling of basic information, payment of processing fee and slot booking for selection of helpline centre, Date and time for certificate verification.
  2. Exercising options and freezing of options by the candidates.
  3. Provisional allotment o seats to the candidates.
  4. Payment of tuition fees and self reporting through the official website.
  5. Reporting at the allotted college.

Will TS EAMCET 2022 have a reduced syllabus?

Since the syllabus for the intermediate classes has been reduced, there are high chances of a reduction in the TS EAMCET syllabus for the year 2022.

Is there any negative marking in the TS EAMCET exam?

No, there is no negative marking in the TS EAMCET examination. The candidate is awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.

Do I need to upload any certificate at the time of application?

No, you need not submit any certificate at the time of application. Submit the filled-in application to the invigilator in the examination hall.

Is NCERT enough for TS EAMCET 2022 preparation?
