SLIET SET 2021 Counseling

For Ph.D programs Offline counseling is taking place and qualified candidates have to appear personally on the day of counseling and bring original documents mandatory for the admission, which is displayed on the website at time of declaration of result. Selected candidates will be required to fill their choices of the desired program/branch/specialization. A provisional allotment list will be published at the University’s website as per the merit, choice-filled by the candidate and availability of seat.

Note: However, if a candidate fails to participate in counseling in time due to any reason, he may appear in the next available counseling. Such candidates will have to keep track of the next available counseling schedule which will be displayed on the Institute website and participate therein without waiting for any intimation in this regard.

SLIET SET 2021 Counseling Process

There will be online counseling for all the programs (except for PG and Ph.D.). The exact schedule of Online Counselling, document verification and submission of admission fee will be displayed on the Institute website sliet.ac.in. After provisional allotment of seat, the candidate is required to report for document verification and depositing the balance admission fees (if any) at SLIET Campus, Longowal. The seat allotted provisionally will be canceled if the candidate fails to get the documents verified and fee deposited during the prescribed period. No separate Call Letters will be sent to the candidates for Counselling/Document Verification/Deposit of Admission Fee. However, if the candidate fails to participate in counseling in time due to any reason, he/she may appear in the next available counseling.

Such candidates will have to keep track of the next available counseling schedule which will be displayed on the Institute website and participate therein without waiting for any intimation in this regard. His/her claim in such subsequent counseling in which he/she may participate be considered in accordance with his/her merit/choice and availability of seats in a particular trade/ branch/specialization. Candidate will be required to submit academic copy of fee deposit receipt and obtain a Final Seat Allotment Card after document verification and fee deposit to complete the admission process. The steps to be followed for online counseling and eligibility conditions for participating in each round of counseling will be made available before the start of online counseling at sliet.ac.in.

Online Choice Filling

After the release of the merit list, SLIET will announce the dates for online choice filling. Candidates must check out the steps for filling the preference through the candidate portal. We will intimate the dates as soon as it will be released on the official sources.

2. The direct link will take you to the candidate portal of SLIET.
3. Enter the Application form number and password.
4. Submit the asked credentials.
5. Click on the “Choice Filling” option.
6. Fill the choices according to your preference.
7. Take a print of the choices for future references.

Round 1 and Round 2

In the Round 1 and 2, the Institute will announce the name of the candidate who will be shortlisted for the admission in their desired course. It depends on the candidates if they want to withdraw the seat or freeze it. If the candidate gets selected in any of the rounds then the next step would be to pay the fee for seat confirmation.

Document Verification

The last round will be the document verification. Selected candidates will need to submit their original as well as scanned photocopies of the required documents for the concerned course. Failure in the submission of any of the document will lead to disqualification of the candidature. It is advised to all the appearing candidates to be prepared and make a proper folder for the same. No separate Call Letters will be sent to the candidates for Counselling/Document Verification/Submission of Admission Fee.
