The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has extended the registration deadline for NLSAT 2022. Candidates can now apply up to March 26 via the official website – nls.ac.in, The entrance examination is going to be conducted on April 24 from 2 PM onwards, Prior to filling up the online application form, candidates have been instructed to read the admission notification carefully. Once the application form is submitted, no changes can be made thereafter.
While submitting applications, a valid email ID and mobile number must be given which should be kept active during the application process. The offline paper-based examination for NLSAT 2022 is going to be conducted for three courses namely LL.B (Hons), Master’s program in Public Policy and PhD programme. Candidates will have to appear for the exams for all three courses on the same day and time.
Candidates desiring to seek admission for the LL.B (Hons.) course should appear for NLSAT 2022. The examination will have a single question paper comprising two parts namely Part A and Part B. Every candidate has to attempt both parts of the question paper .
- Part A – The first part of the question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions for a maximum of 75 marks. A merit list will be prepared based on the performance in Part A and the ones who will qualify for this part will have their Part B evaluated.
- Part B – The second part or Part B of the question paper will comprise subjective questions for a maximum of 65 marks. Candidates will then be selected for interview in the ratio of 1:2.5.
The interview is the final stage of selection which will be held for a maximum of 10 marks. It must be noted that the final rank will be prepared after consolidating the marks in Part B of NLSAT 2022 and the interview. After that, the admission offers will be made accordingly.
Master’s Program in Public Policy
A total of 75 candidates will be admitted for this program which will commence on July 01, 2022. However, the admission will be based on the Policy Aptitude Test (PAT) followed by the interview. PAT will have two parts out of which Part A is reserved for Multiple Choice Questions and Part B will be based on essay writing. The personal interview will be held for 50 marks.
NLSIU offers a PhD program in Law and Interdisciplinary. Interested candidates need to write a proposal of 3500 words and also appear for the All-India admission test. Candidates securing 50% and above will have to make an oral presentation before a panel of experts on the specified date.
