NIMCET 2022 Application Form Out Today at nimcet.in, Last Date to Apply May 5 – Eligibility, Registration Process Explained

The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2022 application form is expected to be released today on the official website – nimcet.inwith the last date to apply on May 4 till 5 PM, The NIMCET is conducted by any one of the 31 NIT’s in India, this year it will be conducted by NIT Jamshedpur on Monday, June 20, Before that, the admit card will be issued to successfully registered candidates on June 06 and will be available for download till June 19,

In addition, the results for NIMCET will be declared on July 5, following which the choice filling will commence two days later on July 7 and conclude on July 12. The institute has also notified that it would be conducting the first round of allotment on July 18.

Registration Process

Step 1: Go to the official website – nimcet.in

Step 2: On the homepage, locate the ‘candidate login‘ on the left side of the page.

Step 3: Candidates will be redirected to the registration page.

Step 4: Enter all required and accurate personal details:

  • Name and Date of Birth
  • Email ID
  • Mobile No.
  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Category Certificate
  • Relevant Marksheets

Candidates are required to make a fresh registration and not continue with any previous year’s NIMCET credentials, they are also advised to not use multiple emails to apply for the same course.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to appear for the NIMCET 2022 is as follows:

  • Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-
    point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/ PwD)
    in

    – (i) B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer
    Applications / Software development)/ BBA (Computer Applications) of
    Minimum three years full-time program from a recognized University with
    Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.

    OR

    – (ii) BE/ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2022.

  • Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not
    permitted.
    (CGPA other than 10-point scale will be converted to 10-point scale based on
    Unitary method.

NIMCET Exam Pattern

NIMCET will be conducted in an MCQ-based objective pattern for a total of 120 questions. The question paper will be framed in English and there is no provision for any other translated medium. Around 50 questions will be asked from Mathematics, 40 from analytical ability and reasoning, 10 from computer awareness, and 20 from general English. Each question will carry a total of 4 marks, and there is a provision for negative marking. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted,
