North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has revised the schedule of the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE). The revised dates of the examination have been published on the official website of NERIST. NEE-II & III will be conducted on August 06 and NEE-I will be conducted on August 07, 2022. Candidates can download the admit cards for the examination on the official website of NEE neeonline.ac.in from May 17, 2022. The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) will be conducted at 15 centers in the eight northeastern states.
NERIST Entrance Exam Schedule
The NEE was earlier scheduled to be conducted on May 28 and 29, 2022. The Competent Authority of NERIST approved the revision of the earlier timetable and released the fresh schedule on the official website. NEE-II and III will be conducted on August 06 and NEE-I will be held on August 07. The examination is held for a duration of 3 hours from 10 am to 1 pm. The admit card is scheduled to be released on May 17 as per the earlier official notification. It is not clear whether the date of release will be revised after the postponement of the examination.
NEE Exam Pattern
For all the examinations, the questions will be of objective type with Multiple Choice Questions to be attempted within 3 hours. All questions from each of the section in the question paper have to be attempted. For every wrong answer to a question, 25% (¼th) of the marks are carried by that question will be deducted. All the three exams will have a single question paper each of 150 marks of three hours duration consisting of three sections. NEE-II Vocational question paper will consist of 4 sections where Section 4 will be on the vocational subject chosen by the candidate. NEE Reservation of Seats
The seats are allocated under three different categories ie State quota, All India quota and PD. 80% of seats are reserved for candidates of the 8 (Eight) North Eastern States (10% for each state) as state-quota, 7% of the total seats are filled up with Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) holders of these 8 ( Eight) northeastern states on merit basis, 10% of the total seats are filled up with candidates under All India-quota and 3% of the total seats are reserved for Physical Locomotor Disabled (PD) persons under PD quota.
