MET 2022 – As per the latest update on the official website, the MET 2022 phase 1 exam dates have been removed. The new dates will be updated soon. This means that the phase 1 exam will be postponed. MAHE also revised the exam dates for phase 2 recently. The new dates are June 1, 2 & 3, 2022. The entire update is available on the official website manipal.edu.

MET or Manipal Entrance Test is conducted annually by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The exam takes place n multiple phases each year. Through this engineering entrance exam, candidates seek admission into various UG and PG courses in engineering. Apart from B.Tech and M.Tech, admission can be taken in other courses as well such as B.Pharm, BBA, B.Sc. M.A. etc. To appear for the test, candidates have to fill the common application form and select the course in which they want admission. MET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

1. For B.Tech Program:

Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass the 12th level /Intermediate exam from any recognized board or university.

Marks Obtained: Students have to obtain an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and any one optional subject.

Qualifying Subjects: Students have to pass the exam with the subject of Physics, English, and Mathematics along with anyone from biotechnology/ biology or any technical vocational subject.

2. For M.Tech Program:

Qualifying Exam: Students have to pass the B.Tech/ B.E or AIME from any recognized University.

Marks Criteria: Aspirants have to obtain 50% marks in the exam.

Age: This examination has no age limit to apply for M.Tech.

3. For B.Pharma Program:

Qualifying Exam: Students have to pass 10+2 in Chemistry, Physics, and English with Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology as optional subjects.

Marks Criteria: Candidates have to obtain an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and any one optional subject.

4. For BBA Program:

Qualifying Exam: Students have to pass 10+2 from any recognized board or university.

Marks Criteria: You must have obtained an aggregate of 50% marks.

5. For D.Pharma Program:

Qualifying Exam: You have to pass 10+2 in Chemistry, Physics, and English with Biology/Mathematics as optional subjects or D.Pharma.

Marks Criteria: Students must have obtained a total of 50% marks.

5. For BA Program:

Qualifying Exam: You have to pass the Twelfth class from any recognized university.

Marks Criteria: Students have to pass a total of 50 % marks.

MET 2022 Exam Pattern

MU OET 2021 Exam Pattern is different for different courses offered by the University.

For BBA programs

Mode of exam: The entrance test will be organized in CBT mode.

Time Duration: The time duration will be 2 hours in the test.

Number of questions: A total of 100 questions shall be asked in this examination.

MET 2022 Marking Scheme

  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers except in the M.Tech exam.
  • In the case of negative marking, 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • 4 marks will be given for every right response.

MET 2022 Application Form

Manipal MET 2022 Application form can be filled out through online mode only. The steps to fill the form are given below.

  1. Registration– Candidates should first register themselves on the official website, where they are required to submit details such as nationality, email address, date of birth, mobile number and details of the applied program/programs.
  2. Fill up the Application Form– Now the candidates should enter their personal, educational, communication, location preference and other asked details. It should be noted that these details cannot be edited later.

4. Payment of application fees- Now the final step is the fee payment. The application fee is Rs. 600/-, this has to be paid & the entrance test fee is Rs. 1400/- for the general category. Fees can be paid by debit, credit, or net banking mode.

MET 2022 Slot Booking

The slot booking for MET 2022 for each phase will begin 7 days before the exam is scheduled to be held. The Online Test Slot Booking (OTBS) will be available to the candidates on the official website only. The password for OTBS will be sent to every registered candidate’s email id. The process to do slot booking is given below.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website manipal.edu.
  • Step 2: Log into the OTBS portal using application number and the OTBS password sent to you.
  • Step 3: Then book test date/ slot of your choice.

Note: Slot booking is done on a first-come first-serve basis. Slots booked once cannot be changed.

MET 2022 Admit Card

The admit card for MET 2022 or the e-hall ticket will be available for download once the slot booking is done. On successful slot booking, OTBS will automatically generate the admit card for the candidate to download. A hard copy of the admit card has to be shown at the time of the exam. Without the admit card, a candidate will not be allowed to take the test.

Along with the admit card, candidates need to provide a valid identity proof as well. The valid identity proof can be:

  • Aadhar card
  • Pan card
  • Passport
  • Driving license etc.

MET 2022 Result

the results are expected to be published by the third week of June 2022. You can check and download the results from the official website of Manipal MET. To download the result, you can follow the steps given below.

1st Step: Candidates must visit the official website to download the MET result.
2nd Step: Then, on the main page you will see the “Admissions” button and then click on the “result” button.
3rd Step: Then, the new page will open where the candidates have to log in with their Application Number and password.
4th Step: After that, the merit list will appear on the window screen.
5th Step: Then candidates can download the MET result.

MET 2022 Cut Off

MET Cut Off will be available online mode on the website after the conclusion of the exams. Only the candidates attaining scores above the cut-off are eligible for the admission process.

Cut-off depends on several factors: the difficulty level of the paper, previous year cut-off, number of candidates appearing for the exam, etc. The cut-off will vary for various courses, candidate categories, institutions, etc.

MET 2022 Counselling

Candidates who will have to visit the institution to participate in the counseling procedure starting from July 2022 are required to pay for counseling fee to register for various rounds. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of various factors like the number of appeared students in the exam, availability of seats, etc.
