MAT Result 2022 – Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level exam administered since 1988. It is conducted by the All India management association (AIMA), New Delhi for management aspirants seeking admission in MBA, PGDM, and allied management programs over 600 business schools across India. This standardized examination used to be held 4 times a year ie in February, May, September, and December. AIMA conducts MAT 2022 in both online (computer-based) and offline (pen-paper based) mode. How to check your MAT 2022 result
The result of MAT 2022 releases on their official website. Candidates can go through the following steps to check their results.
- Visit the official Website of AIMA MAT – mat.aima.in
- Click on download/view.
- Now, click on “MAT Result” tab.
- Select the month of your examination.
- Enter your Registration number and Roll number.
- Now, click on the “submit” tab. As a result, your scorecard will appear on the screen.
MAT 2022 marking scheme
Candidates can refer to the following points for MAT 2022 marking scheme.
- The question paper of MAT is divided into 5 sections ie, Intelligence and Critical reasoning, Data analysis and Sufficiency, Language comprehension, Indian and Global Environment and Mathematics.
- In each section there will be total 40 questions. That is in the whole question paper there will be total 200 questions.
- Each question carries one mark.
- There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt.
- There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions.

Calculation of MAT 2022 Scaled score
The section-wise score of a candidate is known as their Scaled score, The Scaled score is calculated on the basis of marks obtained in each section.
- Each section consists of total 40 questions and each question are of 1 marks. This concludes the maximum achievable raw marks in each section is 40.
- The raw marks obtained are Scaled between a range of 0 – 100.
- MAT is conducted four times a year so the difficulty level varies each time and difficulty level is one of the important factor in which MAT results depends.
- This scaled score gives an approximate depiction of a candidate’s performance.
- While the Scaled score of Indian and Global Environment section is included in MAT score – report, the score is not considered while calculating the overall percentile of a candidate.
Calculation of Composite Score 2022
- The composite score in MAT exam is given on the scale 199-801.
- A score below 200 appears as 199 and score above 800 appears as 801in the scorecard.
- Scaled score of only the first 4 sections are included during the calculation of composite score.
- AIMA hasn’t provided any formula through which MAT composite score can be calculated.
Calculation of MAT Percentile 2022
- The MAT Percentile varies with the total number of candidates appeared in the examination as well as the score obtained by these candidates.
- Some colleges consider admission through composite score while some colleges admit students on the basis of their percentile score.
