JNVST 2022 – Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV), is a central government scheme to empower rural educational standards. It offers free education to the students from class 6th to 12th. Students get admission in the JNVs in class 6th after passing Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Selection Test-2022. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on April 30, 2022, in offline mode. JNVST 2022 Exam Pattern

In order to prepare for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2022 (JNVST), it is essential that students should be well aware of the exam pattern. This will be the first step for them to prepare for the entrance test. The exam pattern for JNVST Class 6 admission test is as follows –

Mode of the exam – The entrance exam is going to be held in offline mode.

Type of Questions – Students have to solve MCQ type questions.

Number of questions – There are a total of 80 number of questions.

Duration of the exam – The entrance exam is of a total of 120 minutes. Each section has a different time duration in which the students need to complete the exam.

How to Register from JNV Help Desk?

JNVs a help desk assist the candidates/parents to upload applications free of cost. Candidates will have to visit the help desk along with all the required documents such as a certificate with a photograph along with the signature of both the student and his/her parent/guardian. The candidate requires a valid mobile phone with a valid mobile number for receiving the registration number and password through SMS for the registration process.

JNVST Admit Card 2022

The admit card of the JNVST 2022 examination is issued by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti on the scheduled date provided on the portal and this page. The admit cards shall be downloaded free of cost by the candidates/parents before the commencement of the entrance exam. It can be downloaded online at the official website — navodaya.gov.in. To download, it, you need to enter your registration number and date of birth. It is a mandatory document to be carried out on the day of the entrance exam.

Students can also obtain their admit cards from the Common Service Centers by paying Rs 10/- to the Common Service Centre. If by any chance the candidates haven’t received their admit card one week prior to the exam date, they should immediately contact the officials through email or helpline number.

How to Prepare for the JNVST Exam 2022?

Preparing for an entrance exam can be burdensome, however, if you have plan/strategy laid out, you can pass the exam with flying colors. To help the students with their preparation, we have provided some tips in the section below.

  • Regular practice of mental ability and logical questions can help candidates to qualify for this section.
  • Wards must provide mock tests, sample papers, and other required study material. Solving previous year arithmetic questions is very much helpful.
  • Reading newspapers, books, magazines regularly will help a lot in enhancing the vocabulary and ability to answer the questions.
  • Do not skip any topic.
  • Take regular breaks in between the preparation and perform your favorite activities to freshen up your mind.
  • Once you have completed your syllabus or topic, revise the topic daily before moving forward to another topic. You can also self evaluate your revisioin test in order to revise the previous topics you have studied.

JNVST Result 2022

It is expected that the result for JNVST 2022 entrance exam in the month of June. It is released online at the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya. To download the scorecard, candidates have to log in by entering their roll number and date of birth. Besides, the official website, students can also view their JNVST 2022 result in the offices of the concerned Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, District Education Officer, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region. Students are also informed about their result via SMS.

The selection of candidates for Navodaya Vidyalayas is done on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam, and providing all relevant certificates, as prescribed by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

What Documents to Carry for Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2022?

After the results are declared, students are asked to submit the below-mentioned documents at the time of admission for verification:-

  • Proof for date of birth.
  • Proofs for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS.
  • For candidates seeking admission under rural quota, the parents will also have to submit a certificate from the competent authority to the effect that the child had studied in an Institution / School located in a rural area.
  • Residence Certificate in prescribed proforma in case of NIOS studies only
  • Any other documents required.

JNVST 2022 Reservation Criteria

Students can check the reservation policy for JNVST Navodaya admission 2022 from below.

  • 75% of the seats are reserved for rural areas and remaining seats are filled from urban areas of the district
  • Reservation for SC/ST candidates is provided on the basis of population.
  • 27% reservation shall be provided to the OBC students.
  • Minimum of One third of the total seats are to be filled by girls.
  • JNV’s have a provision for reservation for Divyang children (ie Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Visually Handicapped) as per GOI norms.

JNVST 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have fulfilled the below eligibility criteria in order to get admission in the JNVs located all across the nation in all districts.

  • Students seeking admission in JNVs must have completed their 5th standard education from any government primary school or ‘B’ certificate school of their district.
  • A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2009 and after 30-04-2013 (Both dates are inclusive)
  • Candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 15th September, 2021 is not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates, who have already appeared in the JNVST will not be eligible to apply for JNVST 2022.
  • No separate reservation for transgender category candidates is provided and they will be included in Boys category for reservation purpose, under various sub-categories viz Rural, Urban, OBC, SC, ST and Divyang.

JNVST Application Form 2022

Students can receive the application forms either from the District Education Officer (DEO), Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Block Education Officer (BEO), or from Headmaster of any Government/ Govt. aided/ NIOS. Students must fill in their name, educational qualifications, and other important relevant documents that must be attached with the application form.   • First visit the official website of the JNV from any source like desktop, laptop, mobile, tablet etc.
  • Fill in the required details.
  • Then the eligible candidates have upload the certificate with the photograph along with signatures of both candidate and his/her parent/guardian. Students must note that the attachments should be uploaded in jpg format of the size between10-100 kb only,
  • In case of candidates from NIOS, candidates should obtain `B’ certificate and residence should be in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Ques- Is reservation for EWS applicable for admission in JNVs?

Ans- There is no separate reservation exclusively for the candidates belonging to EWS. However, the NVS evaluation study by NITI Aayog clearly shows that 15% of parents who enroll their children in JNVs (through JNVST) come from the BPL category. Free Education is emitted to all the students who are admitted to JNVs.

Ques- Can I apply a second time in JNVST?

Ans- No, the Candidate is not eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

Ques- Can a candidate apply for JNVST for another district?

Ans- No, the candidate can not apply for JNVST for other districts.
