How to Use JEE Main 2022 Response Sheet

The purpose of the JEE Main response sheet is to calculate your score in the exam. To calculate the score, you have to follow the steps given below.

Step1– Note the Question ID and the answer ID of the option that you have selected.

Step2– Find the question in the answer key and then, match the correct option ID from the JEE Main answer key to the option ID which you have selected.

Step3– If the option ID matches, then, obviously, your answer is correct and if not, then it is incorrect. Now, add +4 marks for every correct option.

Step4– After you have checked all the questions and added marks of all the correct answers, sum totals them. Now, check how many questions you have attempted wrong.

Step5– Subtract -1 mark for every wrong answer from the total marks that you scored.

Step6– The marks you are left with are your score in the JEE Main 2022 exam.

JEE Main 2022 Score v/s Percentile

After the final answer key has been released, the scores of the candidates are converted into percentile. This is done by the following process. The marks (Score) of the candidate who scored highest is taken as a hundred. The scores of the rest of the candidates are marked accordingly. For example, the candidate who scored the highest has scored 300 marks, so it will be marked as 100 percentile and the candidate next to them who has scored say 299 marks will be marked as 99 percentile. So, in this way, the marks or score of the candidate is converted into percentile.
