JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern- The JEE Main application form 2022 for the April session has been released online on the official website,, The NTA has also released an errata notice regarding the JEE Main 2022 exam pattern which can be checked on the page below. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) 2022 in 2 sessions- from April 16 to 21, 2022 and May 24 to 29, 2022, The JEE Main 2022 question paper has been divided into Paper-1 for undergraduate (UG) engineering courses admissions, and Paper-2 for B.Arch and B.Planning admissions.It is going to be held as a computer-based test (CBT), except the offline Drawing test for B.Arch admissions. JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern

The JEE Main 2022 is a national level entrance exam for candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent exam. The Numerical value type questions are those questions in which candidates do not get options, but rather have to type the answer as a rounded off integer numerical value. To enter the value in these types of questions, candidates have to use the virtual keyboard available on their respective computer screens.

JEE Main 2022 Paper 1(BE/B.Tech) Exam Pattern

The Paper 1 of the JEE Main 2022 is for admissions into BE and B.Tech courses in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and State universities. Given below is the detailed JEE Main 2022 exam pattern for Paper 1-

  • Types of Questions- Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) and Numerical Value Type (NVT).
  • Marking Scheme- Add 4 marks for correct response. Deduct 1 mark for every wrong answer.
  • Total No. of Questions- 90 questions (75 questions have to be attempted).
  • Total Marks- 300 marks.
  • Sections- 2 sections. Section A of MCQs and Section B of NVT.
  • Subjects- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Subject-wise Questions/Marks Distribution-

Note- The candidates can only attempt any 5 questions of their choice in Section B. So in total, only 75 questions have to be attempted in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2022.

JEE Main 2022 Paper 2A (B.Arch) Exam Pattern

In B.Arch exam, the questions are asked from Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing. The details of the JEE Main 2022 exam pattern are as follows:

  • The exam is held in CBT mode but Drawing section is offline,
  • Total number of questions – 77 questions,
  • In Maths sectionthe questions are of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) and Numerical Value Type (NVT).
  • Questions in Aptitude section are only of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
  • Drawing section is to be attempted on an A4 sheet,

JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern for B.Planning Paper

In JEE Main 2022 B.Plan exam, the questions are asked from Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning Based. Exam pattern for JEE Main 2022 JEE Main B.Plan paper 2022 are as follows:

  • Question paper shall be English, Hindi, Gujarati and other languages which will be decided by NTA.
  • Total number of questions – 100 questions,
  • In Maths sectionMultiple Choice Type (MCQ) and Numerical Value Type (NVT) questions are asked.
  • Questions in Aptitude section are only of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
  • Planning based questions are asked from class 10 social science, GK on development issues, Govt. programs, schemes, map reading, etc.
  • Under planning section, candidates also have to write a passage,
  • Total marks – 400 marks,

JEE Main 2022

JEE Mains exam is one of the popular engineering entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency.
