JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning – NTA conducts JEE Main B.Arch and B.Planning. 10+2 passed / appearing candidates can appear for the JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning paper for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses offered at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, UPSEE, AKTU and other colleges. JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning paper are also held in CBT mode. Both papers have 2 common section that is Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II). However, in the third section, B.Arch students have to attempt on drawing sheet of A4 size. and the B.Plan students have to attempt Planning Based Questions (Part-III). JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning
NTA is holding B.Arch and B.Plan as 2 different papers as Paper 2A (B. Arch) and Paper 2B (B. Planning). Earlier, these 2 papers were held as one single paper and was called JEE Main paper 2. In the January attempt, 1,12,679 students attempted the B.Arch paper and 44,517 took the B.Plan paper. The important dates of JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning papers are given in the table below.

JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Eligibility Criteria
The candidates can check below the eligibility requirements for JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning:
Age Limit for JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning: There is no age limit for the exam.
Qualifying Exam and Year: Candidates should have passed class 12 / equivalent in the year 2020, 2021, or must be appearing for it in 2022.
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have studied at least 5 subjects in class 12 / equivalent. However, the subject combination needed for B.Arch and B.Pan is separate. The same is given below:

B.Plan candidates take note: You no more need to have science in 10+2 to be able to appear for JEE Main if you are only aspiring to appear for the B.Plan paper. A candidate from any 10+2 stream with Maths as a mandatory subject is eligible for JEE Main B.plan paper.

Marks in Qualifying exam: Note that to appear for JEE Main 2022 you need no minimum marks. But while taking admission in the institutes you have to have a minimum qualifying marks of 10+2. The same is given below:

JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Admit Card
The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the registered candidates of JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning through the NTA subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of prescribed application fee by NTA. The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website. To download the admit card, candidates need their JEE Main 2022 application number and password. The candidate will appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and shift/timing as indicated in his/her e-Admit Card. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre, on the date and shift/time other than that allotted to him/her in his/her Admit card.
In case a candidate is unable to download his/her Admit Card from the website, he/she should approach the NTA Help Line Number: 0120-6895200 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
How to download the admit card?
- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Look for the link to download the admit card
- Enter application number and password to login and access the dashboard
- Inside the dashboard, access the link to generated the admit card
- The PDF of the admit card is generated and saved in the local system
- Print 2 copies and carry on the exam day.
What to carry with the JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning admit card on the day of the exam:
- Valid photo ID proof
- Passport-sized photo same as the one uploaded in the online application form
- PWD certificate, if applicable
- Name change certificate, if applicable
- Geometry box (only for the B.Arch candidates)
- Diabetic candidates are allowed to take eatables, like banana, orange, apple, sugar tablets, etc.

- Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen & paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
- Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II) and Planning Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only..
- Marking scheme: +4 for the correct answers and -1 for any wrong answer.
- Duration of the exam: 03 hours each.

JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Answer Key and Response Sheet
The NTA will display JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 200/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.
The NTA will display the recorded responses and Question Paper attempted by the candidates on the NTA website prior to declaration of result. The recorded responses are likely to be displayed for two to three days. Both the JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning answer keys and the response sheets are uploaded under the respective logins of the candidates. Students need application number and password / date of birth to access the answers key and response sheet.
The subject experts will examine all the challenges received and then a final answer key will be displayed and declared.The result will be compiled on the basis of the final answer key declared. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after declaration of result of JEE (Main) will be entertained.
JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Result
The candidates can check the JEE Main 2022 Result for B.Arch and B.Plan from the official website using their application number and date of birth / password. Individual raw marks of each candidate in the JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning are calculated using the marking scheme and the final answer key. These Raw scores are then normalized to get the Percentile scores / NTA scores. The candidates are given final ranks based on their best NTA score in the first and second attempt.
JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning All India Rank
The All Indian Rank (AIR) of JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning paper is prepared based on the best scores of the candidates out of the first and second attempts. AIR is allotted separately to the candidates for JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning exam. In case 2 or more candidates get the same percentile the below given tie-breaking criteria are used to decide the AIR.
B.Arch:
- Candidates obtaining a higher score in Mathematics is given higher AIR
- Candidates obtaining higher scores in the Aptitude Test is considered next
- Next, candidates obtaining higher scores in Drawing Test.
- Even then if the tie remains, then candidates older in age are given better AIR.
- In case a resolution is still not possible, candidates are given the same rank
B.Arch:

JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning Counselling
The candidates have to register for online counselling via JoSAA with the score in JEE Main 2022. As per their ranks in JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning papers, they are allotted seats in the NITs, CFTIs or IIITs, and other participating institutes.
Process of Counselling shall be as follows:
- First, As soon the registration for JoSAA starts the candidates have to fill in their choices after registering for the counselling. All this is done in the online mode on the website of JoSAA.
- After the registration of the allocation of seats is done. The seat allotment result is published for each round.
- Then, if a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can appear for document verification at the reporting center.
- Next, if they are not satisfied they can practice more choices to change their allotted seats. This, however, depends on the next availability of seats as per the choice they have entered.
- After each round, the seat vacancy status is also uploaded. The rounds of counselling go on until all the seats are filled.
- Via JoSAA seats are allocated in the NITs, CFTIs, and the IIITs. The private institutes do not take part in JoSAA. The students need to apply in such colleges separately with their JEE Main B.Arch and B.Plan scores separately.
