Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Admission 2022 – Panjab University has announced the exam date for M.Phil & Ph.D entrance test. The exam will be held on 18 September 2022. There are two types of exams in the entrance test. Paper I consists of objective type and Paper-II will be subjective type. Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Entrance Exam 2022 Result

PU announces the result after the entrance exam where the names of the aspirants is maintained along with their marks secured. No separate result card will be given to the candidates. Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Entrance Exam result is available only on the official website, which is results.puchd.ac.in. Candidates can apply for the admission in M.Phil or Ph.D. after the declaration of the result.

Only if a candidate obtains 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PWD) marks or more in paper 1 only then his/ her paper II will be evaluated. To qualify for M.Phil. Enrollment the candidate must obtain at least 40% (35% for SC/ST/BC/PWD) marks in paper II.

The application form for Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Entrance Exam is released on the official website ie phdadmissions.puchd.ac.in. Candidates are advised to first check the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. Aspirants also need to upload the scanned copies of the asked documents while filling the application form online. Incomplete form will lead to cancellation of the candidature by the University and any further request for completion of the form after the due date will not be entertained at all. So, candidates are advised to fill the form before the last date.

Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Entrance Exam 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria regarding Panjab University M.Phil / Ph.D Entrance Exam 2022 is given below.

• M.Phil. in Defense and Strategic Studies: The candidates must have obtained at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PWD Category) marks in aggregate in the Master’s Degree. The defense personnel having the rank of Lt. Colonel and above are exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
• M.Phil. in Department of Physical Education: The qualification for admission to the course shall be MPEd. of Panjab University with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/BC category). OR
• MPEd. (two years) degree with 55% (50% marks for SC/ST/BC Category) marks of any other University recognized by Panjab University.
• Minimum aggregate marks to Pass: As per University regulation. Admission shall be on the basis of Panjab University Entrance Test

For M.Phil. in Sociology, a candidate should have obtained Master‟s degree in the subject of Sociology or Anthropology (Social Anthropology) with 55%(50% for SC/ST/BC/PwD category) marks in aggregate.

Any candidate with M.Sc. (any branch of science)/ M.Tech./ME (any branch of engineering)/ M.Pharm. relevant to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology would be considered as eligible to pursue Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PWD Category) marks in aggregate are required in the qualifying exam and existing rules of the university will apply. Further, the final decision of enrollment will be subject to the approval by the Joint Academic Administrative Purse (JAAP) committee (subject to the approval of Syndicate/ Senate). The medium of examination shall be English only, except in the test for language other than English. The test for Public Administration, Sociology, Social Work, and Police Administration will be conducted in the medium of English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
