Things to carry at the time of examination

There are some documents which must be carried at the time of examination. The list of the documents is given below.

General Instructions for Karnataka PGCET

There is some line of order which candidates have to follow when they appear to give the examination. Check the instructions given below.

  • Carry the admit card positively to the exam center
  • Do not take help from the calculators or log tables
  • The candidates are prohibited to take electronic items like bluetooth, pagers, cell phones, calculators etc. Also, bits of papers, any written material are also not allowed to be taken
  • The candidates can take non – programmable calculators which can be used for ME / M.Arch / M.Tech exam
  • The candidates are not allowed to wear any types of electronic watch
  • Do not create any indiscipline at the time of examination which may lead to cancellation of candidature
  • Before answering the questions, make sure all the information has been understood carefully

Karnataka PG CET 2021 Exam Pattern

As and when the admit card is released, the candidates are more eager to know about the exam pattern. It is beneficial for the candidates to be aware of the exam pattern as it allows the candidates to see how a proper preparation strategy could be followed till the time of examination.

For MBA

  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • No. of question: 100
  • Marking scheme: Every question carries 1 mark each
  • Session: The exam for this course will be conducted in one session
  • Maximum marks: 100

For MCA

  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • No. of question: 80
  • Session: It will be conducted in two session
  • Marking scheme: Every question carries 1 mark each
  • Maximum marks: 100
  • Distribution of questions: Part A carries one mark each. Part B carries 2 marks.

For M.Arch / ME / M.Tech

  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • No. of question: 75
  • Session: It will be conducted in two sessions
  • Maximum marks: 100
  • Version: The question paper will be in four different version
  • Marking scheme: 50 questions for 1 mark each; 25 questions for 2 marks each

Karnataka PGCET 2021 Answer Key

The answer keys for Karnataka PGCET will be published online at the official website of KEA. The keys are released after the three days of exam. The answer keys can be challenged by the candidates/ parents/ lecturers if there are any objections in the exam. The challenges can be submitted either through e-mail or speed post with the documents for the justification. After considering the errors, the final answer keys will be published.

Karnataka PGCET 2021 Result

The ranks will be going to be assigned by the governing authority in the order of merit in the test. Separate ranks will be assigned to the candidates for ME / M.Tech / MCA / MBA. Along with the merit lists, Karnataka PGCET 2021 Result is also going to be published on KEA website (kea.kar.nic.in). The result are only published online. It is not going to be published in KEA premises. Also, the candidates must note that the challenges are going to be accepted only in the case of answer sheets. There will be no re-totalling and revaluation of the OMR sheets.
