How to Download CMAT 2020 Question Paper
The question paper for CMAT 2020 exam is available on the NTA website. Candidates may follow the instructions as below to download it.
Step 1: Click on the direct link on this page to download CMAT question paper.
Step 2: Next, the candidates have to log in using application number, password / date of birth.
Step 3: Click on the ‘sign in’ button to submit the login details.
Step 4: In the next screen, your dashboard will appear. Click on the ‘view question paper’ button.
Step 5: After this, your question paper will appear on the screen. You may download or take its print out for cross-checking the answers.
How to Download CMAT 2020 Question Paper if Forgot Login Details
No need to worry if candidate has lost the login details. In such a case, follow the below-mentioned steps to download the question paper.
Step 1: Visit the login portal at the official website and select the option of “forgot password” or “forgot application number”, whichever is lost.
Step 2: Ten, candidates can see various options that are provided to them in order to retain the login credentials. Click on the any of the options suitable to you.
Step 3: In case of “forgot application number” enter the following details mentioned in the image and reset it.
Step 4: Choose the best option to retrieve the password among the three choices which are using “Security question and answer”, “registered mobile number “ or “registered E-mail ID”.
Step 5: Moving forward, click on ‘Continue’ and submit the response.
Step 6: This is how candidates can retrieve the application number and password.
How to Use CMAT 2020 Question Paper and Answer Key to Calculate Score?
The question paper released by NTA consist of two things which are
- Questions that were asked in the exam
- Responses that were given by the candidate against those questions
Whereas, the answer key includes the correct answers to all the questions that were asked in the exam. Candidates can make use of CMAT answer key and question paper to calculate their probable marks before the declaration of the result. To know how, read the below-given steps.
Step 1: The first task is to download the answer key and question paper from the official website. The direct link to download question paper and answer key shall be available on this page as per the schedule.
Step 2: Then, open them both side by side tab and start comparing your response of question ID from that of the answer key. In simple terms, check what is your response for question number one and what is the answer given in the answer key. This is how to check all the 100 questions.
Step 3: Count the number of correct and wrong answers you have received.
Step 4: Now, follow the marking scheme or formula to calculate the raw score by adding marks for the right answers and wrong answers. Then, deducting the sum of incorrect answers from correct answers to come to the actual marks secured.
Marking Pattern: Candidates are given four (4) marks for every correct answer whereas one (1) mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
CMAT 2020 Raw Score = 4 X (no. of correct answers) – 1 X (no. of wrong answers)
CMAT 2020 Question Paper Pattern
Candidates can check the CMAT 2020 exam pattern in detail from below.
- Mode: CMAT is a Computer Based Test.
- Duration: The total duration of the test is three (3) hours.
- Maximum Marks: CMAT is of 400 marks in total
- Medium of Exam: The exam is held in English language only.
- Sections: There are a total number of four (4) sections in the exam.

CMAT 2020 Answer Key
NTA releases the CMAT 2020 answer key along with the question paper on the official website, cmat.nta.nic.in. The answer key is released after a few days od the successful conduct of the exam. To download it, candidates have to log in using their application number and password. CMAT answer key contains the correct answers to the questions that were asked in the exam. With the help of it, candidates can calculate their probable score.
First of all, NTA releases the provisional answer key against which candidates can raise objections if they are not satisfied with any of the answer given in the key. To raise challenges, candidates have to make the payment of the processing fee which is expected to be Rs 1000/- per challenge. After the objections are raised, authorities have checked the key again and made the changes (if required), NTA releases the final answer key. There is no provision of raising the challenge against the final key.
CMAT 2020 Response Sheet
As we know that answer key provides us with the correct answers to the questions that came in the question paper. On the other hand, response sheet provides with the answers that were given by the candidate in the exam. It is the copy of the answer sheet of the candidate. Response sheet contains the question id and the ids of all the four options. Response sheet, if used with an answer key can help in determining the raw score of a candidate.
About CMAT 2020
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). It is held for admission in MBA, PGDM, Executive PGDM, etc. The scores of CMAT is accepted by MORE THAN 1000 AICTE/Approved Institution/University/Departments/Affiliated Colleges. It is an online exam, in which candidates have to solve 100 objective-based questions in 180 minutes. A candidate with a bachelor’s degree is eligible to apply for CMAT 2020.
TILL 2018, CMAT was conducted by AICTE. However, in 2019, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India gave charge of CMAT to National Testing Agency (NTA). Apart from CMAT, NTA is responsible for various exams such as Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), National Eligibility Test (NET).
