The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is soon going to release class 12 term 1 result 2022. It will be made available for the schools which will then distribute to their students. CBSE 12th term 1 result 2022 can also be accessed via Digilocker. The CBSE passing marks are the minimum marks required by the students of class 12 to be declared qualified. A student need to obtain a minimum of 33% marks in CBSE 12th board exam 2022 in all subjects. Additionally, students need to pass separately in internal assessment, theory exams, and practical exams. Due to the spread of coronavirus, the CBSE Board changed the exam pattern and is conducting the class 10th, 12th exams into two terms – Term 1 and Term 2. The passing marks out of 80 are only applicable for CBSE 12th term 2 exams which are scheduled to begin from April 26, 2022.

The board is yet to announce the class 12 term 1 result. Earlier, it was expected that the result shall be released by March 14, however, until now, there has been no new major update on CBSE Class 12 term 1 result 2022 date. CBSE 12th Term 1 Result 2022 Passing Marks

The Term 1 examination as conducted by the CBSE board had 50% objective-type questions and the rest marks were applicable for internal assessment/ project. This means that CBSE Term 1 Examination consists of 50 marks which the theoretical part consists of 40 marks and 10 marks for the practical exam. In order to pass the exam, students need to secure a minimum of 13 marks out of 40 in the theory exam. However, it is to be noted that no student is regarded as Pass or Fail in CBSE Term 1 exam 2022.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2022 Passing Marks for Term 2

CBSE class 12th students faced two different types of assessments in their respective term exams. Subjects whose practicals were conducted in the lab were given 30 marks for practicals and 70 marks for theory exams of terms 1 and 2 combined. On the other hand subjects with internal assessment had 80 marks for theory exams of terms 1 and 2 combined.

In order to pass the CBSE board class 10th and 12th board exam students need to score minimum passing marks, set up by the board for the year 2021-22. As per the official information brochure, students must score a minimum of 33% of the total marks to pass the exam. Students must score a minimum of 33% in all the subjects and 33% in aggregate of all the subjects to pass the exam. If a student fails to pass any of the subjects then he/ she will have to appear for the supplementary exam held in the month of July.

CBSE 12th Passing Marks Policy 2022

Similar to the class 10th evaluation, class 12th students will not have term-wise passing criteria. Class 12th students, however, have slight changes in passing criterion. To know this, follow the section below.

  • For subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy and so on, candidates will be tested for a total of 100 marks out of which 70 marks will be evaluated on the basis of two-term written examination and rest 30 marks will be given based on practical evaluation. Out of these 70 marks, students need to score at least 23 and out of 30, students need to score at least 9 marks. Thus the passing marks out of 100 is 32.
  • For subjects like Maths, Economics, English and so on, candidates will be tested for a total of 100 marks out of which 80 marks will be evaluated on the basis of two-term written assessment and rest 20 marks will be given based on internal assessment . Out of these 80 marks, students need to score at least 26 and out of 20, students need to score at least 6 marks. Thus the passing marks out of 100 is 32.
