BITSAT 2022 Exam Pattern
BITSAT 2022 Exam pattern will be released soon by the university authorities on their official website. The official notification about the BITSAT 2022 exam pattern is expected to be announced with the release of the application form. Candidates should check the exam pattern before starting the preparation process to know the distribution of questions. Students can refer to the tentative BITSAT 2022 exam pattern given below –
Exam mode – The examination will be carried out in a computer-based/online mode in the 4th week of June 2022.
Sections in the Exam – The question paper is divided into four parts/sections that are Chemistry, Maths, Physics, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics/ Biology.
No. and type of questions – There will be a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) asked in the question paper
Duration of the Exam – The students will be given a total of 3 hours (180 minutes) to solve the question paper. The exam will be submitted automatically as soon as the time gets over.
Language of Exam – The medium of the exam will be the English Language only. The paper will not be given in any other languages.
Answer Choices- Four options will be given for each question. Students have to select only 1 option from the given four options.
Marking Scheme – Students will be awarded 3 marks for every correct/right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect/wrong answer. However, no marks will be awarded/deducted for any unattempted question.

Note: No sectional timing is present in the BITSAT 2022 Exam. Candidates have a total of 180 minutes to complete all 4 sections irrespective of the time given to each section individually.
Candidates who have answered all the 150 questions in the 3 hours (180 minutes), will be given a choice to answer 12 more questions. These questions will be based on the same syllabus. There will be 4 questions from each section that is Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics respectively. The marking scheme for these 12 extra questions will be the same as the rest. 3 marks will be awarded for the right answer and 1 mark will deduct for the wrong one. These questions can be useful as they can replace the wrong answers for each section respectively during the scoring of the exam. Candidates should also make sure that all the previously attempted questions have been checked, as they will not be allowed to make changes later.

BITSAT 2022 Exam Instructions
BITSAT 2022 Exam Instructions will be provided on the back of every candidate’s admit card. Candidates are requested to follow these instructions carefully for the smooth conduct of the exam. Mentioned below are some guidelines to be followed on the BITSAT 2022 Exam Day:
- Candidates should report to the exam center at least 1 hour before the start of the exam.
- Students should maintain social distancing at all times at the exam centre. They must wear a 3 ply covid mask and carry a 50ml transparent sanitizer bottle with them at all times.
- Candidates must bring their BITSAT 2022 Admit Card along with two passport size colored photographs and original photo Id proof.
- Temperature checks will be done at the entry gate by the exam authorities using covid thermal guns. Any candidate whose temperature is above the normal body temperature will not be allowed to give the exam.
- Candidates have to bring their own stationery items for the BITSAT 2022 exam.
- No electronic devices like cell phones, watches, calculators, or any other wireless equipment are allowed in the exam hall premises.
- Before starting the exam, students should read the instructions given on the question paper and carefully fill out the OMR sheet.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the conclusion of the BITSAT 2022 examination.
