Based on the official notification released by BSEB, the passing marks for class 10th have been set as 30 percent in each subject. Candidates scoring above this will be promoted whereas candidates unable to do so shall be placed in the ‘Compartment’ or ‘Improvement’. In case a candidate is just failing and to avoid wasting his/her future, the BSEB official grant 3-5 marks as “grace” and help the student in order to get promoted.

Bihar Board 10th Passing Marks 2022 Subject-wise
In order to promote students, BSEB keeps a passing criterion. For class 10th students, the passing policy is applicable on the written examination as a whole. Thus students need to clear the written examination in order to get promoted. This passing policy is 33 percent thus students need to score at least 33 marks out of 100 in each subject. New Change Made in BSEB Bihar Board 10th Passing Marks 2022
For the academic session 2021 onwards, the board made a few changes in the marking policy of the BSEB matric exam. As per the changed policy, the class 10th students who cannot score the minimum passing marks in the compulsory subjects will be granted marks from their additional papers.
Also, the board notified that the two language papers of 50 marks each are going to be combined so that students will appear for a single 100-mark language paper.
Bihar Board 10th Result 2022 Grace Marks Policy
To improve the pass percentage, the Bihar Board had also adopted the grace marks policy for class 10th students.
If a student fails in one subject by 8 percent or fewer marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 percent marks in each, then they will get the marks required to pass the exam and are promoted to the next class.
Furthermore, if a candidate has obtained 75 percent marks in aggregate but has failed to obtain minimum passing marks in one subject only by not more than 10 percent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, then in such a case, he/ she will be declared as passed.
Bihar 10th Result 2022: Division-wise passing marks
Besides the result status as ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’, the board also provides division to the students who perform exceptionally well in the class 10th examination. To be considered for division, students need to secure the marks as given in the table below.
