How is AILET Result Calculated?

National Law University calculates the results of the candidates according to the official marking scheme. Check out the AILET 2022 results calculation process below.

  • Candidates get 01 mark for each correct answer.
  • Candidates lose 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • Candidates can also calculate their raw scores using this process using the official answer key of AILET 2022.

How to Check AILET 2022 Result?

Candidates can check out the steps to download their AILET 2022 results below.

Step 1: First, candidates can visit the official website at

Step 3: Here the candidates have to type their name or roll number after pressing Ctrl + F.

Step 4: Then a list will appear. If candidates can find their name/roll number there, they are eligible and they can download and print it for future reference.

AILET 2022 Merit List

The final merit list for all the appeared candidates is released by the NLU, Delhi online at NLU releases the category-wise merit list. Thus merit list for general, ST, SC, Person with Disability (PWD), Jammu and Kashmir residents, and Kashmiri Migrants will be released separately. Admission for BALLB, LLM, and Ph. D is strictly dependent on NLU, Delhi course merit list. Candidates will be eligible for the next process based on the minimum marks they will get.

  • Minimum 40% of total marks (30% for SC / ST / PwD) is required for candidates for university admission.
  • The University reserves the right to leave the seats vacant if the candidates fail to touch the minimum cut off mark.
  • For candidates who get the same percentage of marks in law examination, merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks in Intermediate Level (10+2 system) / equivalent examination recognized by high school or university.
  • If the merit is the same, then the tenth class number will be considered. If there is still no change in the rank, then the higher percentage will get priority.

AILET 2022 Tie Breaker

Candidates can check the tie-breaking criteria for AILET 2022 mentioned below.

  • Candidates who get highest marks in std. Twelfth examination is given priority over other candidates.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidates got higher marks in std. Tenth examination preferred over other candidates.
  • If the tie continues, the older candidate will be given preference over the other candidate.

AILET 2022 Counseling

In order to get admission in the BALLB course in the University, the respective candidates must appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) process. Once a candidate has cleared AILET and his/her name has appeared in the merit list, that particular candidate will be invited for the counseling procedure which is followed by on-spot counseling involving the vacant seats available. After completion of successful admission, the interview will be scheduled for the shortlisted candidates which are followed by the orientation program. From the month of August, a new academic session will start for all the selected candidates.

The All India Law Entrance Test is conducted by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi. This university was established in 2008.
